Overview

Get ready with Morocco trip travel to explore the spectacular natural environments and rural landscapes south of Marrakech. You cross beautiful river valleys; see wondrous historical sites made more famous by the movies, and sleep in an authentic camp under the stars before admiring the sunrise over the dunes. Zagora is an historic city in Morocco, it is a desert city with a charm weather. It used to be a meeting point of commercial caravans in Africa. There is a sign that perpetuates Zagora’s importance. Furthermore, it is a perfect place for chilling and resting in desert hub, also, to have the perfect camel ride ever and to see a sky full of stars.

Day 1

Marrakech - Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou - Zagora (7 hours drive)

Your trip departs at 07h00 AM joining a group tour to Zagora through Tizi Ntichka pass ( 2260 m. alt ) driving past different adobe Berber villages, and locals herding their goats. Upon arrival to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, you will have some free time to explore the UNESCO world heritage heritage village, and its famous Kasbah, that has been used as a set for various Beblical epics as well as a backdrop for commercial and modeling photo shoots.Should you wish to join the group on a guided tour, there is an extra fee of 2.00 euros per person for your local guide.

From here, we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we will have lunch at leisure. Early in the afternoon, we will cross the Northeastern parts of the Anti Atlas Mountains to the oasis of Agdz. After a quick stop in the village center, get ready to admire one amazing scenery after another driving along Draa Valley with its fortified Kasbahs and oases dotted with hudreds of thousands of dates palm trees. Draa Valley hosts the largest palm tree plantation in Morocco.

Upon arrival at Zagora desert late in the afternoon, we meet our camel caravans, and our camel trekking adventure will begin through the sand dunes while assisting to an amazing sunset for about an hour.

Just before it gets dark, we drive our camels to our Berber desert camp nestled between the middle of nowhere. Dinner will be served tonight under the stars while the local Berbers entertain us with their drums. Feel free to learn about the stars constellation or just enjoy the silence of the desert under the crystal clear skies.

Day 2

Zagora - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Early in the morning, your camp hosts will wake you up early to watch the sunrise if you wish. After breakfast, ride your camels again to meet your vehicle and driver on the road. From here, we depart to Ouarzazate, where we will stop for lunch at a local café, and visit Taourirt Kasbah. Early in the afternoon, we drive back to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Your trip will end in Jamaa Elfna Square at about 19h00.
